James Joyce's epic novel Ulysses, occurs entirely on June 16, 1904 in Dublin, Ireland: the most famous day in modern literature where famously not much happens. Known as Bloomsday for characters Leopold and Molly Bloom, Ulysses echos Odysseus' Journey home from the Trojan War in Homer's Odyssey through a day in the life of an ordinary man. Reading Ulysses is not required.
